The Historical Society of Perry County (HSofPC) was formed on May 28, 1923 and incorporated in 1952. The HSofPC is a non-profit corporation designed for the purpose of the collection, preservation, and interpretation of historical records and artifacts of Perry County. This pertains to the natural, civil, and literary history of Perry County.
We are in the process of professionalizing our operations, preservation and collections policies, increasing our endowment and funds campaigns, and enlarging our membership base.

The Historical Society presently owns and operates 10 historic properties within Perry County, including:
The Historical Society of Perry County is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of Perry County through various initiatives and programs.
We maintain and preserve historic properties ranging from the 1788-1790 Clark's Tavern to the 1884 Dromgold House and Farm.
We collect, preserve, and display artifacts and manuscripts that document Perry County's rich history.
We offer historically-related programs that stimulate interest and educate audiences of all ages about Perry County's heritage.
We operate and maintain a museum of Perry County History at Blue Ball Tavern within Little Buffalo State Park.
We engage with the community through events, volunteer opportunities, and membership programs.
We conduct and support research into the natural, civil, and literary history of Perry County.
